what is sportspace?
sportspace is a brand of s2 corporation and is designed specifically for the sporting industry. s2 corporation is a specialised design, engineer and project management company for the provision of large span structures.
sportspace comes in two designs, the standard and premium, and with a range of options to enable clubs a choice to suit their individual requirements. The main difference between the sportspace standard and premium is the design. The sportspace standard is a series of trusses and will therefore have 8 columns down 2 sides of the green. The sportspace premium is designed to be supported on only 4 main columns and has no columns running along any of the the sides of the green.
Both sportspace designs are made of a structural steel frame using post-tensioned steel technology. The steel structure comes painted using inorganic zinc base coat and the roof material is Valmex Type 1 high strength fabric in white. The steel comes with a 25yr manufacturer's guarantee and longer for galvanising. The fabric comes with a manufacturers' guarantee of 10yrs. The structure should last well beyond these initial periods if maintained well.
